The philosophy of the Furman Lady Paladin golf program is to build upon our rich history and to recruit athletic and highly motivated individuals that desire an outstanding education and a competitive golf program.
The program will provide each player with the tools and guidance to grow as a player, student, and person. The Furman Lady Paladins will be prepared to the best of their ability for the challenges in the classroom, on the golf course, and in life.
“Becoming a Lady Paladin was one of my smartest decisions. Coach Hanna not only made me a much better player, she also pushed me to become a better student and a better person. I couldn’t imagine finding a better fit anywhere else”

“When I was 9 years old I met Beth Daniel, Dottie Pepper, Betsy King, and Sherri Turner at the Furman junior girls golf clinic. From that day on my dream was to attend Furman and play on the LPGA. My 4 years at Furman were the turning point, not only my golf game, but also my future. I was able to develop my game to a level that earned me a place in the finals of the US Women’s Am and the NCAA Championship. After graduating I played on the LPGA for 3 seasons. Now that I have retired from playing full time, I have been able to make use of my Furman education by starting my own junior golf and consulting business. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my experience at Furman. Go Paladins!!
